Z Fish Report (4/16/15)

Andre is getting roosters here year round. This is one of his smallest
The blue water is still inside the 100 fathom line (about 5 miles), with the area’s surface temperatures still holding steady at about 80°. And, we are still enjoying the favorable conditions while we have them. http://calendarforfishing.blogspot.mx/

Talking with Cheva on the panga Dos Hermanos II, he said there is “buena pesca” (good fishing) offshore. For sailfish, the numbers have gone up a bit with about 5 to 6 raised sailfish a day per boat, and catching between 1 and 3.
The inshore is still the best bet for action here with a lot of sierra, jack crevalle, and black skipjack. Cheva got 8 mid-sized roosters working the Petatlan area, and said the Pantla area has a lot of large jack crevalle. One of his clients broke his 9wt fly rod on a very large jack.
Joel with a nice jack
Also, last week Andre Padovani and Joel Levene from Canada fished with Adolfo on the panga Dos Hermanos getting 2 roosters (and losing 2) and a large jack.
