Z Fish Report (6/3/21)

We still have few clients here fishing. This morning, we finally got a bit of rain. Our first since last October. While waiting for 7:00 and the skies to clear up a bit, it reduced to a light drizzle. I talked to the captains there. Only three boats had clients. Adan, on the panga Gitana II and Anibel on the panga Sequestra Amour were going offshore for sailfish, and Cheva, on the panga Dos Hermanos II was fly-fishing the inshore. Noe, on the panga Porpy was going out alone to look for Yellowfin tuna, and commercial his catch. Water Temperature – An unusually warm 87° offshore and 82° inshore.
Blue Water – The blue water has moved to the beach.
Offshore – Sailfish action, with the warm water, remains good. The boats are raising four sailfish a day. Noe, on the panga Porpy reports yellowfin at 30 miles.
Inshore –There are many roosters and jack crevalle, all up and down the coast. Jay Spencer, from the Portland OR area, fly-fished two days with Cheva on the panga Dos Hermanos. Both days he hooked a couple of roosters, and several jack crevalle. He saw a lot of action.
