Z Fish Report (2/09/12)

Even though the blue water is practically on the beach, the colder water is pushing down from the north, and the sailfish are moving on to warmer waters to the south. The cooler water brings tuna and marlin, of which we have gotten a few of this week, but only because the boat was in the right place at the right time. There are also a few very large dorado out there.

The best action, as it has been the last few weeks, has been the inshore for light line and fly rod anglers. There is tonnage of the hard fighting black skipjack tuna to keep a kid’s interest and his rod bent all the time, the excellent eating sierras, and the big jack crevalle.
