Z Fish Report (7/17/14)

The surface water temperatures have risen to 89° from the beach on out to about 5 miles, and then over 90° from there on out. The blue water it hugging the beaches, with only a bit of stained water out in front of the river outlets.

Offshore – With few anglers, Cheva on the panga Dos Hermanos only fished one day this week. But it was a good day with 18 dorado, 1 sailfish released, and 1 blue marlin coming unbuttoned. The fish were all caught off a weed line near the White Rocks, and about 4 miles off the beach. (See last week’s report where he thought the weed lines would soon have the dorado)

The Inshore still has no report, but should be very good. Nobody fished again this week to find out. Cheva did tell me there was a lot of large jack crevalle action off the white rocks, but who is going to leave dorado for jacks?
