Z Fish Report (7/5/12)

Kirk  Ingertila

The Terrafin satellite images show the 85° blue water on the beach, with the cooler79° water out 30 plus miles and beyond the 1,000 fathom line. If you are looking for yellowfin tuna or marlin, they will be out in the cooler water.

there were a lot of jack crevalle in Zihuatanejo
Bay this week. Large schools of jacks followed the bait in.
The sailfish action for the historical minor migration in July has yet to turn on. Cheva, on the panga Dos Hermanos II, fished two days this week without a strike. He did tell me there were quite a few small dorado inshore and around the white rocks.

Kirk and Pam Ingertila of the Seattle Washington area fished a couple of days with Julio of Julio’s Tours. They did fairly well inside the Bay and down south near Playa Larga. The next trip, fishing out near Ixtapa Island, was a bit slower, with smaller fish.

The roosters are still here, but there have been very few clients to fish for them.
