With the 82° blue water has moved out to the 100 fathom line and about 5-6 miles off the beach. This has actually improved the overall fishing for both inshore and offshore.

Offshore.. What a difference a couple of weeks have made. With the relatively cooler water, the sailfish bite has picked up to where we are raising several fish a day, and hooking an average of two per boat per day.

Plus, dorado are showing up again. Not in large numbers, but they are very decent in size and averaging between 20-25 pounds. And, there have been several yellowfin tuna caught, with a few blue marlin to round out the possible options. For both the marlin and tuna, it is still a hit or miss situation and being in the right place at the right time, but it is very encouraging they are even showing up.

Kyle Herr, and fishing partner Rachel, of Minn. fished a day with Cheva on the panga Dos Hermanos II. This is what he emailed me: We had a great day with número uno capitan Cheva. Rachel caught her first sail yesterday was told approximately 70 to 80 lb. Then I caught my first sail Cheva said approximately 110 to 120 lb. We spotted Rachel's and drug the baits by it; saw it come up and nail it.  We also lost a yellowfin tuna when the line broke after we spotted working birds, porpoise, and yellowfin.

Inshore action for roosters and jack crevalle is still doing well. The fishing has been

outstanding for the large jacks, and several roosters are being caught also.

Kyle and Rachel also fished a day down at Puerto Vicente Guerrero with Mark Denison and a day with Jesus (Hay-zoos) on the third Dos Hermanos panga.

At the end of the day, all all Kyle has is memories of the huge rooster he
lost down at Puerto Vicente, and a straightened hook.
