Z Fish Report (9/1/16)

Offshore (average) surface water temperature - Includes from the 5-6 mile mark at the 100 fathom line, on out to about 50 miles with the 1,000 fathom line being at 32 miles: 84°
Inshore (average) surface temperature. From the beach to about 5 miles: 85°
Blue water: Is about three miles off the beach. (Chlorophyll amounts and surface temps from Terrafin SST)
Offshore- The best news this week was the 40 pound class yellowfin tuna moved into the area between the 20-25 mile marks. What few boats there were on the water did get some great action, but it should not last much longer. The seiners have also moved in, so no need to jump on a plane and come down here expecting great tuna action.
We are averaging 2-3 sailfish raised to the boat and about 1 or 2 hooked per boat per day.
There are still very few dorado.
Inshore: Again, very few clients and very warm water. With the inshore water now showing a little off-color, the jack crevalle and roosterfish bite has pick up significantly, but there are no clients to take advantage of it.
