Offshore (average) surface water temperature - Includes from the 5 - 6 mile mark at the 100 fathom
line, then to the 1,000 fathom line being about 32 miles: 88°
Inshore (average) surface temperature. From the beach to about 5 miles: 88°
Blue water: (Chlorophyll
amounts and surface temps from Terrafin SST) The blue water is from about a
couple of hundred yards off the beach, and on out.
Offshore: The
sailfish action backed off this week, with few fish being raised to the trolled
spread. There is action for yellowfin tuna, from 10 to 20 pounds, out about
thirty miles.
Another rooster being released by Adolfo |
Inshore: The
action remains the best bet.
Averaging 4 to 5 roosterfish a day, a few sierras, 4 to 5 dorado, and several
black skipjack tuna, and all on spin or fly gear. The roosters, like the
dorado, this week were not big, but averaged between 5 to 10 pounds, with a few
being larger.
